About Julie
A Voice for the Voiceless.
Julie Shrader is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Innocence Freed, a Nebraska-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope, dignity, and healing to survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and complex trauma. A nationally recognized speaker, trainer, consultant, advocate, and lived-experience expert, Julie has devoted more than 14 years to serving survivors and advancing survivor-centered responses across communities. Prior to founding Innocence Freed, Julie founded and led Rejuvenating Women, later known as Restored Wings, for 12 years. During her tenure, she pioneered Nebraska's first Christ-centered short-term and long-term residential recovery program for adult survivors of trafficking and exploitation. She also developed Nebraska's first ranch-based healing model for trafficked girls, integrating equine-assisted learning, animal-assisted programming, life skills, mentorship, and trauma-informed care.
